This is only true if you don't include the PSP, the DS or even the PS2 to a certain extent.

 

 

 

Yeah, I enjoyed this game more than The World Ends With You, FFIV, and Persona 3 FES(which I mentioned earlier), and everyone knows that I am a staunch advocate of all of those games.

I enjoyed it equally to Radiant Dawn, but that's not a JRPG, nor did it release this year.

I'm telling ya, anyone here who played or heard of a game called Tales of Symphonia, this game is like ToS, but better in nearly every way, including character development, which is very hard to believe, but true. It's really the best jrpg I've played in the last couple of years.

If you're a fan of the genre, this, right here, is the game you've been waiting for.

 

Your opinion != fact, bottom line is there are plenty of JRPGs on those 3 systems (especially the first 2) to compete for JRP GOTY. ToV might be your and a lot of other people's JRPG GOTY. but to say there's no competition in the JRPG genre this year is ridiculous unless you're only including the Wii, PS3 and 360.
