The wii is winning because of its controls and its appeal to the general population, I know me as a parent that I would buy a wii to my kids way faster than any other systems with violent games etc.
Sony still did a good job with there PS3, they won the format war, I think because of it, and now has exclusivity on HD movies, unless you download them. In a way the PS3 is winning but not really as a gaming console, more like a blu-ray player that can play games as an extra.

1. Gears of War 2. MGS4 3. Killzone 2 4. Halo 3(Underated by many) 5. Mass Effect
