I read about the same thing a few days ago... fact is particles colide with the earths atmosphere all the time so if these tiny black holes exist they are harmles...
I was much more interested in the cameras used to track these holes... one of them is as big as a house and it makes so many images in a second that it needs a whole new form of networked supercomputer with 200 cores to filter out what information to save and what not... amazing stuff...
