Actually, console gaming is in some ways becoming more like PC gaming.
Games require patches to work properly -- CHECK.
Games require on-line connections to work -- CHECK.
Small games purchased without physical medium -- CHECK.
Virtual prohibition on used games -- NOT YET, but it could come, the technology exists.
The last point is why software makers tend to favor PCs. They can try to stay ahead of the pirates. But they can't do anything about Blockbuster and Gamestop.
Mike from Morgantown
I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
