I don't know if the concept of separate SKU's is really relevant for the PS3. Aside from the 20GB which was only briefly available, the only major difference between the 60/80GB is the size of the HD, which doesn't really matter in the sense that no game will use the whole thing.

With the 360, you have a system with no HD at all that ends up severely limiting developers, and important stuff being different between the others, like the HDMI ports in the Elite.

Also, the PS3 SKU's are called the "60GB" and "80GB", you know exactly what the difference is. What's the difference between "Premium" and "Elite?" It's even hard to say which one would be better. "Premium" sounds like it should be the best one. What are they going to call the next one?

I have a HDTV and a Wii, and the graphics are far inferior to the PS3/360 if only in terms of resolution. This could go two ways. Ideally, once HDTV becomes more widely adopted and the price of the hardware drops, Nintendo could release a HD version of the Wii that would play the game at HD resolutions (Just like you can select a resolution in a PC game, it's not unreasonable.)

However, we could see the unfortunate repeat of what happened with the PS2: Developers had to beat on and trick the hardware to get satisfactory results, which results in poor compatibility for software emulation on the PS3.
