When comparing series', i feel Zelda can be only compared to the FF series.
We have to remember that Halo doesnt even top its division(Half Life has better overall ratings for the main titles).
"The accumulated filth of all their sex and murders will foam up about their waist and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"...
....and I'll look down and whisper "no."
