Videogames could be adapted as a cultural artform.  I don't see it happening as of yet though.  Games lauded for having great stories.... MGS4, God of War etc. would have trouble being optioned for production as a sunday afternoon TV show.

The only story i've seen that would come close honestly as far as a game goes is Killer 7.  Which was a lot like Twin Peaks... probably because that was Suda 51's main inspiration for the game.
