Any statement about Windows copying Mac OS is complete ignorance.  A research group at Xerox back in the 70's and 80's developed the windows type interface that BOTH operating systems use.  BOTH companies liked it and did their own take on it.  Apple made a cottage industry out of suing Microsoft back in the 80's claiming that Microsoft stole their Windows idea, when really they both took the idea from Xerox. And why is Vista

So the Zune is a copy of the iPod?  How about all the other MP3 players out there?  How about that Samsung Instinct?  Copy of the iPhone, right?  Are you honestly saying that the iPod is the only MP3 player that has a right to exist and that no other company should try to compete with it?  That's ridiculous.  There are jillions of other MP3 players out there that look like the iPod.  You only rip on MS because they're MS.  And for the record, the Zune is a better MP3 player than the iPod.

lol, you don't know me very well. I make my living as a Microsoft Developer, and have a CS degree. In order to get that, you need to take history of computing. I don't need to take history however to know about MS. I had a PC in 1980, and have owned every OS they have ever made. I have an MSDN license, and thus all MS software is available to me. I have evaluated, or utilized most of it.

MS does a lot of things well, very well. But there consumer offerings (not servers/dev tools) are all direct copies of competitors.

There is not enough time in the day to explain to you how OSX is better then Vista. Also comparing these OS's to what came out of Xerox PARC is ridiculous. Oh, and Steve Jobs asked Xerox if they could have the Alto 88's OS (and the mouse). Bill Gates then Stole the Mac design when Apple gave a prototype of the Mac to MS so they could write applications for it. If you think that's the same thing, you should be the last one throwing the word "ignorance" around.

And yes, the Instinct is a copy of the IPhone.

No, please, explain to me why OSX is better.  I'd love to know, because I think Mac OS is a steaming pile of crap.  And I think you misunderstand me, I know the Instinct is a copy of the iPhone, and there will be many more copies.  I'd venture to guess that most of them will be an improvement on the iPhone.  But since they won't have the little silver apple logo on them, they'll be considered garbage by people who don't know any better.  And that's what Apple's customer base is all about:  people who don't know any better.  People who fall for the most ridiculous advertising.  People who think that you can't burn a CD on anything but a Mac.

You don't know me very well either.  Please don't waste your breath on me by trying to convince me that Mac OS is better.  That's a ridiculous waste of time because it's all about personal preference.  Also, I'm in the IT business too.  I'm no "Microsoft Developer" (which could mean just about anything.  Hell, you could be developing a new calculator for Windows for all I know.) but I do know that a computer science degree is a far cry from making you an expert on anything.  I recently switched jobs, and I didn't talk to ONE prospective employer in the Chicago area who gave a rat's ass about computer science degrees.  So, don't bother with the credentials, because I actually don't give a rat's ass either.

What came out of PARC is the very reason why the myth still exists that Microsoft "stole" the Windows concept from Apple.  Both companies went to Xerox to look at the interface and both companies used it in their own way.  And in case you hadn't noticed, Vista looks nothing like OSX.  Yes, it has gadgets, but if it had that absolutely ridiculous software dock I would give up completely and switch to Linux.  The Unix system that Apples are based on is every bit as archaic as the kernel Windows is built on.  Fortunately, Microsoft is actively plugging holes and patching exploits while Apple is sitting there telling their users that Macs simply don't get viruses or malware.

Lololol. You sure do hate apple and apple users, did someone with an apple-branded hat steal your candy when you were a kid?

I go back enough to remember setting up autoexec.bat and config.sys with different memory management schemes and I tell you mac osx works so much better than anything windows-related. Shit, I use vista at work... I can feel the difference everyday.

If you really need to think that apple users don't know better there's something wrong with you.
