Actually I totally agree that LBP is overhyped by some who think it's going to get 10+ million in sales.  What I disagree with is the idea that LBP is overhyped, but Conduit and Spore are not which was stated by someone above.

 

well those people are doofus' and should be ignored.

But I believe a lot of the hating on LBP is from non-PS3 owners who want to see the game fail because it is not on their console.  Comments like "the hardcore won't buy it" and "it would do better on the Wii" are different ways of saying "damn I wish my console had it, but since it doesn't, I think this game is going to fail" Because if the game is a success, then Sony has just put out a semi-innovative game that stands alone in terms of type of game on other consoles, leaving Sony deserving of praise.

I don't own a PS3, I can almost guarantee I'll NEVER own a PS3.  I don't want to see LBP fail.  The game looks great.  I just think it's overhyped.  That's it.  There's no malice when I say it's overhyped, it's just my unbiased opinion.

 

for you this may be true, but for others, it is exactly what I said. It's not contained to just LBP or Sony games or whatever. It happens across all consoles by all fans. People try and marginalize what they want but cannot have.
