I saw some videos of Fallout 3, especially from the start where the vault opens up. It recalled all the good memories from Fallout 1/2 for me and 4 videos after that just further reinforced the "Fallout" vibe I was getting from the game. -------------------------------------------------------------- For me it went from "meh" to "must buy" in the space of a few videos. So while I did get the Oblivion vibe from the game, the feel of the universe was definately Fallout and the humor and moral choices were definately there. I personally liked the Vault-Tec system because it seemed very playable and it captured whats best from the first two games without the negatives from the excessively long combat. It freed everything up, and I like that. ------------------------------------------------------------ From just my impressions it looks like a very fitting take on the Fallout universe and I would say that it deserves to wear the legendary name.------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: This site loves to eat paragraphs, especially mine! :'-( |
I just wish you can go through the whole game using your skills and intelligence instead of being forced into the gung ho gun attitude. Don't get me wrong, I will shoot many a mutant but some of the best Fallout memories come from the fact I didn't have to lift a finger to get past some scenarios.
