Or to justify buying the game for the Wii at all.  Most games that are for all 3 consoles will seem to be cut-rate on the Wii because it doesn't have the graphics, the storage size for all of the cut screens, and the power to handle the more intense scenes.  To counter this, the Wii is given some feature that, hopefully, favors its motion controllers, justifying the game's purchase for the Wii, possibly as a second copy, for a small fraction of the cost to the manufacturer.

 

 

Once agan, Wii supports dual layer DVDs. A reduction in video resolution usually means a reduction in filesize (dependent on codec). This could actually turn out to be an advantage for the Wii, and people just don't see it.
