Actually all good points but XBox Live being over priced is over rated.
I've gotten a years worth of XBLA for $35 or less every year thanks to Amazon and Newegg deals.
My friends not only find XBLA more stable but more, shall we say, active? I'm sure numbers will get closer in the long run, but as long as multiplatform games continue to sell better on the 360 there will always be more players on Live. Not to mention the few cross platform games like Lost Planet which hopefully pave the way into getting even more players on XBox Live.
I think once Home comes out things will be different, but right now the PS Network can't compete against Live outside of being "free". And while Sony can brag about being free, we all know there is no such thing as free forever. Eventually Sony will charge or do something else to get them more money.
MS accessories are WAY overpriced. But how many times do I have to say this? Maybe a hundred? 20 gig HD's on eBay used are going for $30 or LESS. That makes the Arcade 230 with the HD, and you can sell your memory card to make the difference. People are just lazy when it comes to this.
Lastly, Blu-Ray I'm not sure what to think of. Right now? No. In the future? Maybe. What will MS use when It's time for more space? Graphically gamewise all the 360 games can match the PS3 so graphics on blu-ray versus standard DVD don't seem to make a difference gaming wise.
Just some food for though from your MS "fanboy" and Wii owner.
It's just that simple.
