Umm... we are talking about the same Jesus that told his people to kill in his name as he was being sent to the cross right?

It's up for debate as to what he really meant (kill all jews, kill the people who turned on him, etc), but he did say for all practical purposes to go start a war in his name.

My thoughts exactly. It sounds like he's referring to Jihad (you know...the thing that Muslim extremists misinterpret into saying "dear followers, kill everyone and strap this bomb on your hip. love, allah.") It actually means something completely different. My muslim friend who moved back to the middle east told me that.

 

And Sarah Palin needs to STFU&DIAF if she thinks this war was a "task that is from god."

 

Why are you using stereotypes? I have read the Quran(Muslim Holy book) and it never mentioned anything about committing suicide. Also Jihad doesn't mean what you said it does, for it has two meanings. Your friend is giving you the wrong information.
