It's interesting, but I'm not buying a PSEye for it. It's just like MS and that stupid movie game with the live vision cam they were showing at E3, and even that was just like the the simple mini games from the Eyetoy on the PS2 days (which in turn probably copied something else).
I don't see this game appealing to anyone, because the core won't be interested (at least I would assume so) and those who would want a virtual pet have the tamagotchi's, Nintendogs and every other pet shovelware title on the Wii, why dropped the dough for something with no physical interaction whatsoever (you touching air which recognises as you patting the things head is not physical, scrubbing the nintendog with your stylus is closer).
I'm still waiting on that awesome PSEye game where you draw on a piece of paper land it registers as levels/maps/vehicles etc, that was a cool concept.
