First, I want to say that I do not believe that that is what it is intended to mean, when selecting the the definition out of the dictionary: Whitness, in biblical terms, means whitnessing God's Word. Saying something that God would not say is true is "bear[ing] false witness" In all my studies, I've never met a scholar, Christian, Jewish, or Muslim, or read a book that gave your definition of false witness from the bible. But I am not saying you are wrong, we are each free to interprate it as we feel fit. Either way, it doesn't matter:
"These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."---Proverbs 6:16-19 |
Proverbs? Really? The only book possible more false then Proverbs is Revelations.
I mean, God does have people like in the bible... like at least 3 times.
