Well i don't think it will be a big franchise, the first Game is good but that's it, nothing brilliant about it, better then average shooter pushed forward by Sony because it was only decent launch title that more people would buy.
Second one is shaping to be better, bigger etc etc. which is great but i dont think anyone will consider Resistance as big as Halo or CoD or the other franchises. It will be commercialy successful but not remembered as the revolutionary,epic shooter.
