While I don't really think that was the best way to say it, he has a good point. 1UP is certainly NOT anti-Sony. They just gave a PS2 game game of the month (a great game I might add) and didn't give the Nintendo or Microft games good reviews either. Blue Dragon averaged something like a 6.5 and Mario Strikers something like a 7.5. They have also given out some of very good reviews of PS3 games. For Example: Virtua Fighter 5 (industry average 8.7): 1UP score: 9.5 EGM score: 9.7
On the other hand, Play Magazine gave Motorstorm a perfect 10 (average 8.3), and Sonic the Hedgehog a freaking 9 (average 4.3).
It's too early to say all reviews will be bad, but people shouldn't be completely discrediting this magazine simply because they didn't like a game you were looking forward to. EGM is a well respected publication, and in the end reviews aren't what matters: What matters is how much YOU enjoy the game. If you are still confident that you will enjoy the game, then it's a good purchase for you to make.
