Neither are anything compared to the original Game Boy so they should both be in shame.

The DS while playing GBA games lasts like 20 hr.

The DS lite while playing DS games lasts fifteen to nineteen hours on the lowest brightness setting and five to eight hours on the highest brightness setting

Now, I agree 4 hours is more than enough for most uses (so long as you don't use it for any media functions) but there is one advantage to the DS, and that is if I have a 2 day trip, I don't have to bring a charger if I keep it on the lowest brightness settings.

Or if you're on a 16 hour flight (which is quite common these days internationally).

That's probably one of 2 things holding me back getting a PSP (Used to be lack of games, battery and size. Now just the last 2) because I have a tendency to forget to take things out of my bad, so where as the DS could stay in there for at least 2-3 days without a charge, PSP would die at the end of the first day (might last for a bit of the second).
