I'd have to research the whole "Elvis stole black peoples songs" angle more before i could say for sure.
I like Jackson better.
Elvis was probably more influential.
Though at least Michael Jackson made up a bit for "Music video" society by kinda making it mandatory to have interesting stuff in your music video instead of it being just vapid shots of the band like "Smells like teen spirit."
Though sadly then influence is fading a way as more and more bands, rappers and the like consider a crazy setting half naked women.
