Although closer, Republicans, on average, favored the vote 72.4% of the time, versus Dems at 67.1%.
So would you like to provide counter-evidence that Republicans have held back civil rights? The whole issue is that Democrats are for Welfare, preferential treatment of minorities, and other things that pander to them. None of those things have to do with "rights" - of which, the Democrats haven't always been for rights.
