PN: Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at, they blow it. MM: You know what's really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism, and this is cynical. CT: This is cynical, and as you called it, gimmicky. MM: Yeah.

No joke. I hate Kay Bailey Hutchinson (one of my senators), but she would have been a much better choice than Palin. She wouldn't have gotten anywhere near as much of a lambasting by the media as well.
Every day that passes I am more and more convinced that Palin was about the worst choice McCain could have made. He would have been better off trying to get Hillary on his ticket.
