It trailed the Sega Saturn, and battled it, for quite some time in Japan before taking the lead, and historical totals.
Likewise, it had very anemic sales in the United States as well, and the N64 almost caught up to it before it started getting the uber-titles that helped it sell well.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
