I had no idea Connecticut had so many moderate republicans...

Conservative Republicans voted Republican.  Liberal Democrats voted Democrat.  Many moderate Democrats who voted for Lieberman in the primary supportedhim in the general election, but not enough to get him more votes than the Democrat primary winner (hence why he lost the primary in the first place)...

So Moderate Republicans won the election for Lieberman.

And yes, there are a lot of Moderate Republicans in Connecticut.  Northerners tend to like their personal freedoms.  The Republican candidate got 10 percent of the vote, with 50 percent going to Lierbman and 40 percent going to Lamont.

He got 10% of the vote... and about 23% of Conneticuit are registered republicans.

34% are democrats... and a whopping 43% are indepenedents from the sources I can find anyway.

Joe Liberman represents the middle... which is what i said.  He has way more to lose by freaking out those people then he does pleasing the token republicans.
