You've got the wrong assumptions there Akuma. The reasons why the Dems are less likely to fall in line is because they are basically an opposition party.
The Democrats are the "Big Tent" party with a bunch of different groups with difering opinions and ideologies... more so then the republicans.
Take what your average Union Democrat believes vs your average enviormental democrat and you'll see two very different sets of beliefs.
The union democrat thinks the enviromental democrat is insane... and generally democratic because because there bosses are republican. They need to bribe one side... and the side that they generally agree with more on everything but labor has their main opponents on it.
