Capcom: PS3 in "full swing"

Capcom has released a transcript of a conference call it held for the firm's Q1 results. The first question asks whether PS3's install base is yet big enough for the release of a whopper like Resident Evil 5.

"We believe that PS3 has finally reached full swing after looking at the success of Metal Gear Solid 4, as well as future large-scale title line-ups," reads the response.

Why is this even a question?  The PS3 will have sold more than the GC (when RE4 came out) by the time RE5 rolls around, and it is going to be multi-platform from day one.

 

 

 And you think that Resi Evil 4 and 5 had similar sized budgets?
