I'm well aware of what they're trying to accomplish, but constantly revising your model and churning out new-and-improved variations just to keep up with the times hardly qualifies as 'future-proof'. For it to be future-proof, it must be ready to meet the future as is, not to be outdated by another version of the same console. The Wii is the only one that appears ready to meet this stipulation, and since consoles will never be able to keep up with PCs, I don't think that the current business model for the 360 and PS3 can be even considered 'future-proof'. Impressive consoles the both of them, but undeserving of that buzzword people keep throwing around.
