there is just one small thing you have over looked, and that is the fact that technology isn't expanding at a steady rate but rather in spurts that could very easily make the hardware in the ps3 seem like the wii when new machines are released , already we have faster processors out there, larger more stable hard drives, better graphics cards and so on
there will never be a piece of tech released now, or in teh future that can ever be called future proof
