Exactly. I also play co-op with my brother (splitscreen or system link) and the game is perfect designed for that. A game with co-op functionality is a must buy for me (See Halo 3, Too Human, Gears of War, Crackdown, Kane & Lynch, Army of Two etc.) |
I've played all of Halo 1, and some of Halo 2 and 3 in co-op as well as getting through nearly all of Gears of War co-op on the Xbox/Xbox 360. I'm not going to argue that it's not fun, because not only with those games, co-op with my room mate in Resistance: Fall of Man as well as Army of Two and split screen with him in Warhawk online is fun as hell.
Still, local co-op isn't going to be as much of a deal breaker for me to make Gears of War 2 on the 360 so much better, even though it is a nice feature to have for a console game. I think you're being too absolute considering my gaming tastes for both PC and consoles.
@Barozi- Wouldn't system link provide a similar experience to Gears of War co-op on the PC?
