The smartest business move for MS would be to stop selling XBox 360 in Japan. MS push into Japan has failed miserably with lots of money being spent in Japan for little or no return.
I do not see a new XBox selling well over in Japan next generation. Japanese market is dominated by the Japanese owned console companies in Nintendo and Sony.
