It is impossible to base every game's quality on personal gaming experience because that would mean that you would have to buy every game. Firstly who has that kind of money to buy every game and second that is a huge waste of cash anyway. I listen to the actual reviews more then the score. If the written/video is actually in favor of the game with minor flaws and I have set interest in it already, I will buy it. From there I will decide if it is good or not.

I mean if a food critic tells you that he got food poisoning from a restaurant you don't go a see for your self now do you? You must weigh both the public's opinion of a game and your own impression of it, that way you can be a smart consumer like me lol. :)

Actually I can disagree with that statement highlighted in bold.

First you can do that. Because not every game is better than the other in my opinion. I can like underrated games that score low and like them and play them over high rated ones or ones that people recommend me to play.

I place every game equal. I don't pick this one is the best because everyone says its the best or if it gets a high score. If GTA IV got a good review...oh well, its not going to force me to purchase it or play it over WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2008. I will still play that wrestling game over that.

And yeah I understand about listening to personal opinions or public opinions on food or other sorts. But thats a completely different analogy. I'm talking about game reviews.

Edit: Also...that's what the news is for and people you hang out with, to tell you that about the food analogy.

Have you seriously bought everygame that tickled your interest in the slightest your entire gaming career? I find that highly unlikely. No one has that kind of time on there hands to sit and BUY then try every game they ever thought might be kind of cool. That is what my statement is saying.

I think I have and it's kind of sad, because I really don't have time to play them. n_n

I buy the games that I really want and only if there is a good pre-order bonus on Day 1. Other than that, I'll wait till they get cheap. This is the smart way for me. I just want to have everything, i'm greedy.
