Yeah... it's a shame.  When you look back at it.  Georgians and Ossetians used to get along as if they were one race.  Until the Russians came into the picture.

Russia didn't start this, they just jumped in afterwards.  South Ossetia was one of many ethnicites vying for independence after the break up of the Soviet Union.

Kind of like Yugoslavia, almost everybody got along until the ball started rolling.

Before Georgia was annexed by the Russians the Georgians and Ossetians lived together as peaceful as any race could.  When the Russians annexed it, a wedge was drawn between the two races because racism is the easiest way to keep the masses subjugated.

The problem with the races started before the soviet union breakup... as a way to control and annex georgia in the first place... then to keep it in place during the revolution... and now... to keep georgia weak again.
