Yeah... it's a shame.  When you look back at it.  Georgians and Ossetians used to get along as if they were one race.  Until the Russians came into the picture.

Russia didn't start this, they just jumped in afterwards.  South Ossetia was one of many ethnicites vying for independence after the break up of the Soviet Union.

Kind of like Yugoslavia, almost everybody got along until the ball started rolling.
