what are you talking about ? the story was brilliant !

Planescape: Torment, Deus Ex, The Longest Journey, Mask of the Betrayer, Beyond Good & Evil, Grim Fandango... these have brilliant stories, not MGS4.

MGS4's Story

Pros
- Some of the characters are great
- Highly emotional

Cons
- Uninspiring writing
- Archaic storytelling
- Excessive use of cutscenes
- Bad implementation of thematics and specific knowledge
- A lot of clichés


I compare MGS4's story to Spiderman 3: Fun to watch, but won't give you a lasting appeal.

I compare Deus Ex's to Blade Runner: The best Science-Fiction can offer.

And I compare Planescape: Torment's to the top 50 movies of all time combined: It is simply that much a masterpiece.
