Your Gears 2 impression is important to me as well since I'm most likely buying an Arcade just for that game, so can you please elaborate more? Are you basically saying it's the same as Gears 1 with a few more tricks and textures?

 

I wouldn't buy a 360 just for Gears 2.  I'm not trying to dog this game, but I really expected more graphically.  You'd be best to buy a 360 for other reasons, like Left 4 Dead.

 

I usually buy my games cheap (30 bucks) unless I really want them, plus they said there might be a L4D port to PS3.....I'll wait for reviews and impressions after it releases though. Do you have an answer for my Fallout 3 question?

Obviously I don't know for sure but i'd imagine that they would put trophies on Fallout. At least I hope they do :) The L4D port for PS3 is a shaky possibility at best and a lot of it depends on what the 360 version does in terms of sales. No offense to Parrot but I would probably wait until Gears 2 comes out to make your decision. Gears 2 has a lot of new features like Horde mode (survival) as well as other new modes such as the unique CTF (a moving and lethal NPC is the flag). Parrot said he didnt play much of Gears 1 multiplayer so it would be difficult to discern whats new etc etc. This isnt a knock against him in any way.

@Parrot I know you said the controls were fluid on both the PC and 360 versions of L4D. How was the sensitivity in terms of moving each axis and camera. I haven't played a shooter on a console that has a high enough sensitivity for me :) Great work btw and thanx for the impressions!
