Humor is great I agree. Had the game got 7-8/10 from most publications I would have not asked...but since it got such high review scores I figured that I'm missing something. I think there may have been a lot of fans from the NES era who may have rated this game a bit higher than normal...

 

 

Yeah, the nostalgia definitely has a lot to do with the high scores. But I think the scores also have to do with what the reviewers are comparing it to. If this game had been a straight port on Virtual Console or Live Arcade, it would've cost about $5 and been received okay. But for a little more money, you're getting quite an updated experience that kinda makes you rethink buying the retro classics. 9.4 doesn't mean it's as good as Gears or something. It just means it's one of the best retro experiences for the money. At least that's how I see it.
