Make no mistake, I am all for registering more people. But if you'll see on XBL no issues are mentioned just a way to register and gamertags.  When you register you are supposed to do so based on something that drives you to do it.  In this instance, a particular candidate's respective standpoints, whether it be McCain, Obama, Barr, Nader, or even McKinney for Pete's sake.  It is akin to a Tammany Hall system of registering the dead to vote. For if you vote w/ knowledge you are a zombie to your cause, dead to the issues at heart.

Yeah - that's exactly the point. You register voters and let them make up their own mind on the issues. Do you seriously think that potential voters need to be "informed" on the issues? And who's going to be doing the "informing"? You?

Honestly, get off your high horse and have some faith in the common person. With every post in this thread, you lose more credibility. Registering more young people to vote is always a good thing, regardless of what values they support. They can all vote Libertarian if that's what they prefer. Part of a democratic system means the freedom to throw your vote away if that's what you want.

The fallacy of this thread is an assumption that YOUR stance (McCain's stance) on the issues is "right", and anyone who disagrees is "wrong". The arrogance coming across is not pleasant to read.
