I actually thought KH2 was a better game than KH1. Sure it was easier (not by much though, neither is really "hard") but that's because Sora was a powerhouse now. But part of the reason it was easier was because they actually tightened and improved the controls and combat.
One of the things I hated about the first KH but didn't really realize until I played KH2 was that Sora slides all over the place when he fights.
