Kingdom Heart 1 was great, I liked it because (and this is going to sound like one of those "I did it before it was cool" cliches) it was an interesting mash up that EVERYONE expected to fall flat on it's face. The gameplay was a bit button mashy, but I liked the mythos and concept behind it all. It's the best game in the series (thus far).
I think KH2 is overrated. The Button mashing is horrendous (you can beat the entire game with just melee attacks, I didn't use a summon or magic (aside from cure) once. What made it worse was organisation 13, what a bunch of "nobodies" who didn't have much story behind them that wasn't presented in the game.
The Forms were pretty cool though.
