Death Note is nothing when compared to Code Geass.
They have somewhat similar protagonist but by the end of the 1st seaons and all of 2nd season there are NO SIMILARITIES at all between the protagonists and anime.
I watched Death Note when I was new to anime thought it was amazing but as you watch more and try to watch again you realize just how full of shit it is. Its fiction duh but its just such a bad anime the 2nd time around or when you find new anime.
Mainstream anime is pretty meh.

3.Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
