You questioned the relevance of my original post and I will admit that I was very obtuse in making my point.
Basically, it appeared in the OP that you did not like the thought of XBL being used for political campaigning because it would benefit a "cooler" candidate -- which is not the one you prefer. Then others posted about, if they only knew ....
My point was that directed more at the secondary reaction posts -- and for that I apologize.
That being said, the more ways we get the word out about the candidates, the better. Get the people to turn out and let them decide. If you do not have faith that people can govern themselves, then you do not believe in democracy and instead want to turn this country into something else. By limiting who can say what where, you are starting that process.
Thus, to be against people something that can get more people involved is potentially un-American.
