I do not agree, I think the fact that a person has a baby while in public office is bad.

Mother or Father, it wasn't proper when Kennedy did it.

Their focus should be on serving their constituents.  A 0-3 year old is very hard to raise and deserves attention that a good political leader wouldn't be able to spare.  Use contraception or don't have sex.

I think, not being able to convince your kids to use contraception or abstain is failing at a big part of being a parent.

It doesn't ultimately make them bad parents, but it doesn't give them any points.

It doesn't make Bristol a bad person, she's 17, with 17 yo judgment and parents who won't teach her about condoms or take her to get the pill.

Don't tell me it doesn't affect their leadership qualities, because how else are we supposed to judge a politician of a small state rich in oil revenue - so there's no record of budget experience.  Not one of the republicans' strengths. Edit: Sorry about bringing up a real issue. I'm a libertarian tired of Republicans slicing up the pie for their friends, sick at republican fiscal irresponsibility, and to the point where I'm thinking "Hell, socialized medicine would be a hell of a lot better than the corrupt system we have."  The Republicans have made the democrats the lesser of the two evils.

We've been judging Obama on his church, his organizing days, and his family.  Palin is not exempt from this scrutiny.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
