You don't get it. When Sega made Sonic as an mascot they wanted to give a message with it. Sonic is cool, sonic is badass...Playing with the megadrive/Genesis is cool.
Mario is not cool but a very friendly character where Nintendo wanted to say that Nintendo is child friendly. (Remember those Atari 2600 porn games).
Now about Master Chief. A guy in a suit who fights with aliens through whole the galaxy isn't that cool? They attracted with Master Chief a lot of gamers.
The sackboys...Well...They can be everything....They can be female or male...They can be brute...Kratos Sackboy, Nariko sackboy, Child friendly....Ratchet sackboy they can be fast, cute, cool, they can fly etc;..
The message behind it? Sony PS3 is for everyone?
