Although varicella infection is much less common in adults than in children, it is associated with
greater morbidity, namely pneumonia, hepatitis and encephalitis. Chickenpox results in the death
of 25 people/year in England and Wales and 75% of these deaths occur in adults

most of those will be pregnant women, old people, immune defiecient, etc
