We'll see who gets momentum once the debates start.
BTW, I think McCain picked Palin to combat Obama's 'younger person for change' message. She is young, not 'tainted' by Washington politics, has a record of going after corruption, and wants to change the way Washington does politics (she's against lobbyists, pork spending, big business affecting politics, etc). Her being a woman was definitely a plus, but she wouldn't have been picked if it wasn't for her stance on these issues.
