No, the Wii has better percieved demand with ONE standard price. It confuses average when there are several skus and "core" gamers don't help when they see price drops coming. The weeks before the drop usually show declinig HW sales.
I can't believe I actually had to explain any of that.
The Wii being priced at $250 had NOTHING to do with PS360 price cuts. How would Nintendo know they would cut prices anyways?
