@CGI Chill out. The average gamer does not care how or why said game is playable on their system. No one should give a damn. Why do you? Idk if you're insecure about the whole thing or what but its only a video game console.

Back to the topic at hand: MS is doing a pretty reasonable job this gen. For the effort it should get a bit more sales but the laissez-faire rule of economics is someting I believe in. Now in the end MS may come in third place but I think they are getting more recognition as a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

Lets face it, if the 360 was released at the same time as the Wii and PS3 it would have been trounced even if the hardware issue had been dealt with. However, even with the inexcusable hardware issue, MS needed the headstart to get the exposure they needed. They got it and the 360 is doing better than most ppl would have thought.

Now while even if the 360 comes in 3rd this gen in terms of hardware sales (sry I still think 360 will beat PS3 in software) MS will have gained a lot more than just money from this gen. While the fanboys on everyside will be up to tears/joy the fact of the matter is the 360 can still be declared a success in a lot of ways from a business standpoint.

If you ask ppl on here who own 360s most would prolly say that apart from the RROD (if they got it) said user is probably happy with their purchase.
