It also looked like the two guys playing the game really suck
I actually thought the graphics were decent. (it was a little dark though) It's better then anything the PS1 ever had, the closest probably being Chrono Cross. It looks more like an early/mid generation PS2 game in terms of graphics.
But the game still has a bit to go before release, so maybe it will improve
