Fine, from now on I leave it on random and accept my following defeat on Yoshi Falls, the track with the weird blue shell occurence. If I am first in the final lap there will be one, if I am not first, there won't be a blue shell. I simply can't win this track.

Why not just try to get far enough ahead like I do.

I have won 2-3 Yoshi Falls despite a blue shell... I have lost 2-3 because of a blue shell, and the rest I either won without a shell, or didn't win and wasn't concentrating on whether others got shells.
