Or you could pay the extra for Business Class and buy an airline power adapter. Some planes have standard AC plugs in Business.

 

 Carrying around an extra battery just so my portable device can have a decent battery life is not  practical or sensible solution. It adds to the cost of the system, and hurts the portability. I want to eb able to throw it in my pocket and take it out klater and play. I don't want to have to cram a power cord or battery in there as well as my pocket has limited space.

Actually, carrying the extra battery around doesn't bother me nearly as much as carrying an AC adapter.  Even if the battery life is as low as 4 hours, two batteries gives 8 and I can at least live with that.

If the 3000 actually had a decent battery life (10+ hours without having to do a lot of finagling) it would be a day one sell, now it's back under maybe.  I suppose I'll have to wait until it's released to see how much I like it and probably wait until Decemberish to get it.
