Discountinuing the PS2 would be like throwing away free money for Sony. Money is Money who cares where it comes from as long as it goes to Sony's pockets. The thing practically supports itself. The PS1 was selling until 2005 a year before the ps3 launched. I expect the PS2 to sell until 2010.
